* Gecko Galz: Love, Love, Love

Hello everyone!

This month at Gecko Galz our customer challenge theme is 'Courtly Love'. I made some cards:

I love Gecko Galz digital collage sheets - most of them have really cool images which can be printed, cut out and used as card toppers.

This image is from the Ladies of the Court collage sheet. The colours are so rich and luxurious looking - look at the rusts and turquoise! I distressed the edges and inked them with Vintage Photo ink and matted it with gold paper.
The background is made with paper from the Courtly Love paper pack (Paper CL09). Again the edges were distressed and inked and matted onto gold card. I added some gold mesh trim across the background paper and a strip of raffia to lay under the image.
The Alphaletters are dimensional stickers and I like the vintage effect. Some tiny gems were added in diagonally opposite corners.

Here's my second card...

The mage is from the Vintage Flirtations collage sheet. I matted it onto gold card, distressing the edges. The beautiful paper is from Courtly Love (CL07). I distressed the edges and inked them with Vintage Photo. Two strips of wide lace were adhered onto of the paper - I like that the lace has lots of open space, so that the paper still shows through. I found a metal peacock in my stash and thought he was a perfect onlooker! I added some rose trim to the edge of the image and an enamel embellishment along with a stamped sentiment from the In Other Words stamp set.

And my third card:

For this card I used another image from the Vintage Flirtations collage sheet, but I've added some interest and dimension by decoupaging parts of the focal points of the image. The edges were distressed, inked and matted onto some ivory pearlescent card.

The background paper is from the Winter Wishes paper pack. The edges are inked with Vintage Photo and it was matted onto the same ivory pearlescent card. Some green ribbon was added along the left edge and some pearl flower trim set on top. Some lovely ivory lace was added along the right edge of the image and mat. The wooden sentiment was triple heat embossed with Bronze embossing powder. Some die cut flowers with pearl centres complete the card.
