Beccy's Place at Crafts Galore Encore

Hello Crafty Friends!

Oh My Goodness! ... it's September already - I can't believe how fast time flies.

The beginning of September means it's time for a new challenge at
Crafts Galore Encore.

This month the theme is "Anything Goes" and we are sponsored by the wonderful
 Beccy's Place.

As usual, the winner will be picked at random, and will receive one set of stamps from Beccy's Place and also there will be 5 DT Picks of the Month who will receive our badge of special recognition. We would love for you to join in the fun! You can make anything you like - it doesn't have to be a card, and you can use any supplies and products ... so what are you waiting for?

Oh yes, here is what I made.

I used the lovely Shabby-Chic Birdhouse image from Beccy's Place to make two different cards.

This card is more vintage/shabby chic in style:

I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir markers, then fussy cut it and mounted it onto a stitched rectangle. The rectangle was die cut, then stamped with script in Vintage Photo and inked with Picked Raspberry and Crushed Olive whilst the die was left in place - this left an un-inked border. The fussy cut image was mounted on foam pads.
The background boardwalk paper is a Carta Bella digital download. This was mounted onto black card. Three pieces of ivory lace were added.  Pink pearl strands were added along the top edge of the middle lace. Paper die cut flowers were colour washed in Picked Raspberry, and were shaped and ,when dry, pearls added to their centres. Die cut leaves, inked in Bamboo Leaves, were also added, along with a chipboard bird on a branch that was coloured with inks and then had iridescent medium applied on top.

This card has a more clean and modern look:-

The image was again coloured with Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut. This time it was mounted onto a stitched rectangle that had been inked in Rosebud and had water droplets blotted on to it. The background paper is from the Nitwit collection, Time for Tea, and this was matted onto black card. White cotton lace was adhered to the left hand side and flowers and foliage were attached. The flowers were made from white card, cut with a  Heartfelt Creations Majestic Blooms die, then colour washed and shaped. The foliage is part of the  Bird on a Branch die from Marianne Designs.

Please pop to over to Crafts Galore Encore to see the DT's wonderful designs.
